Lapreasha, Veneers are designed to give you a more attractive smile. I'm not sure why your dentist said it would over exaggerate your smile. If you have a diastema- a gap between your front teeth, the two front teeth veneers would have to be made a shade larger than your teeth in order to close the gap if that is what you are interested in doing. The teeth having the veneers placed need to have the surface taken down a little so the veneers fit on top of the teeth nicely so they don't appear bulky.
